Instructions to File a Claim for Damage or Loss

Domestic & International Cargo Insurance sold/authorized under Freight Forwarder License # FF-2996

 1) Before you file your claim with us, you MUST notify your shipping Carrier or Moving company of loss or damage, within 14 days from taking receipt of your freight. (If concealed damage, within 3 days). It is absolutely essential that this step is taken, as not to prejudice your claim.

 2)               Please FAX all the Documents listed below, to: (805) 267-4837

ALL THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS NEED TO BE SUBMITTED BY FAX:
FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THESE INSTRUCTIONS MAY PREJUDICE ANY CLAIM UNDER THIS POLICY.

   1) Please Print and Fill out the following Cargo Claim Form: Click here: CARGO CLAIM FORM

   

  2) Cover Letter with your Company Name and Address, stating that you are   
       filing a claim for damage or loss and any other details you wish to include.

  3) Your Insurance Certificate. Print the original, electronic, certificate that was sent to you via          E-mail.  

  4) The Actual Delivery Receipt from the carrier.

  5) Estimate of Repair or Invoice, if it is a total loss.

In the case of non delivery, the carrier will issue a non delivery receipt.


Please note that the claim processing time is at least 60-90 business days, beginning the day we submit your claim. Your claim will be submitted to the underwriter's Claim Department for investigation, as soon as we receive all required documents listed above. Please note that failure to provide us with ALL the required documents listed above, will delay this process.

You will receive a letter from the claim department, with your claim settlement results, as soon as your claim is processed. (Which will be at least 60 to 90 business days).

Please be patient, we will do everything on our part to expedite the process, by submitting your claim as soon as we receive it, provided you have sent in all required documents.

If you do not receive a letter within 90 days, please contact: claimstatus@grw-products.com, with your certificate # and the Name of the loss payable to, as listed on the insurance certificate; so that we may contact the underwriter for your results.
