The Insurance companies groups items into categories according to the risk level associated with those items. Higher risk categories have higher insurance rates and different deductibles. The rates for every category are listed in the tables below. The rates are per $100 value of insurance coverage. Please follow the steps below to calculate your policy cost.

1) Determine Your Insurance Value.
This is either the total replacement cost value of your shipment or goods.
or Invoice value. You may include freight shipping or moving costs.

4) Multiply the Rate by Your Insurance Value.
Last Step! To calculate your quote/policy cost: divide your insurance value by 100 and then multiply by the insurance rate.

For Example: a policy for basic coverage for a domestic shipment of Computers worth $5000 shipping by Land, would cost $62.50 ($5000 divided by 100 = 50 x $1.25 rate = $62.50), see column highlighted yellow in the domestic rates table below.

If your calculated policy cost (according to the rates in the tables below) falls below the minimum charge, your policy cost will be the minimum charge

There is a $45.00 Minimum charge for a Total Loss policy.	There is a $50.00 Minimum charge for a basic risk policy.	There is a $90.00 minimum charge for an All Risk policy.

All Risk Coverage requires the goods be Professionally packaged by the shipper, shipping carrier, moving company or a packaging company. Professionally packaged is defined as being properly packed for transit by the shipper or by a professional whom knows how to pack, box, crate and palletize goods.
